Project Linus

We are collecting blankets for Project Linus. Only NEW blankets please!

The mission of Project Linus is to provide love, a sense of security, warmth and comfort to children (ages 0-18) who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need through the gifts of new, handmade blankets and afghans, lovingly created by volunteer "blanketeers."

All styles of blankets are welcome, including quilts, tied comforters, fleece blankets, crocheted or knitted afghans, and receiving blankets in child-friendly colors.

Check out:http://www.projectlinus.org/links.shtml for pattern ideas!

While at the site look at the Crocheted Blanket Pattern a closed crochet stitch make this a "no holes favorite" with hospital staff!

In May2007 we donated over 30 blankets!

In May 2008 we donated 28 blankets!

How many will we make by May 2009?
