The Scott Township Public Library Board is composed of 5-7 appointed members. The Trustees are appointed by the Commissioners.

Interested in becoming a Board Member?

  • You could be a new board member if you are: 
    • at least 18 years of age,
    • a current resident of Scott Township (or a member of an adjacent community that does not have a library),
    • willing to assist with library advocacy, fundraising initiatives and events.
  • Commitment:
    • The term is for three (3) years.  A maximum of 8 consecutive years.
    • The meetings are usually the 2nd Monday of each month at the Township’s Municipal Building.
  • To apply: Please send a letter of interest and current resume to Gina Leone, Director at leoneg@einetwork.net.
    • Your application should include a cover letter & resume stating your:
      • Interest in the position,
      • Background, and
      • Qualifications to serve.
  • The review process:
    • Applications are submitted to the Library Board.
    • Applications will be reviewed by the Nominating & Board Development Committee.
    • Recommendations are made to the Scott Township Board of Commissioners.
    • The Commissioners approve the nomination and then you are on the board!

What does the Board do?

  • The Library Board plays a key role in advocating & fundraising for the library.
  • The Library Board assists with policy maintenance and development.
  • The Library Board oversees the annual budget.
