Adults Book Discussions
BookFlix
I Spy...in the children's area...

Check the Calendar of Events for more information.

Here are a few tips to help your child get the most out of story time:

  • Participate! Adults are welcome to join in, listen and help, (especially with the crafts).

  • It’s their first small step to independence. This is also a chance for your child to find out what will be expected of them in school.

  • If the child is not interested in listening today, that’s fine. We would rather he/she go look for a book than disturb the pleasure of the other children.

  • Watch your child. Teach them that the books are organized and shouldn't just be dropped on the floor or shoved back just anywhere.

  • If you don’t want to take a book home with you, just put it on the table or a cart up front.

  • The Library is for everyone. Please be considerate of others.

  • This is a great time to teach children about "inside voices".
