This help comes from people just like you... One penny at a time adds up!

Unrestricted Donations
For the past several year Scott Township has challenged the library to raise up to $5,000 in unrestricted funds. They will match dollar-for-dollar up to $5,000.
These donations can be made a variety of ways:
- Write a check and note in the Memo Line: Unrestricted.
- Put some money in the "Flag Box" (AKA "Piggie Bank") on the Circ Desk.
- Buy a raffle ticket. A different raffle is held every month.
- Buy a book from the "Book Sale" shelf located between the DVDs and Magazines.
- Participate in other fundraising events.

Commemorative Plate Program
You can commemorate birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, graduations, retirement, holidays, and other special events, or provide a memorial for a loved one.
If this is something of interest to you Click here for a form to fill out and return to the library. Mail (Scott Township Public Library, 301 Lindsay Rd., Scott Township, PA 15106), fax (412.429.5280) drop it off at the library. The form tells us who the gift is for, why the gift is being made, if there are any special instructions regarding the use of the gift, and who additional acknowledgements should be sent to.
Notes:
1. We now have cards you may use to let someone know you purchased a plate in their honor, or in the memory of someone special. Ask at the desk for a special card when you turn in your complete form.
2. In May 2007 we began a Commemorative Plate book to list all donations made through this program. Ask for the "plaid book with the Scottie dog on the front" to see this special list.

Adopt a magazine, newspaper, author, genera or...
Provide an on-going subscription to a magazine or journal; we'll place a note on the plastic cover stating that it is a gift from you.
Provide an on-going subscription to a newspaper; we'll place a note on the shelf stating that it is a gift from you.
Provide on-going funds to purchase books by particular authors or in specific genres or subjects for adults or children
(e.g., James Patterson, JD Robb, or mysteries, reference, literary fiction, science, cookbooks, history). We will place bookplates in each title.
Provide on-going funds for audio or movie formats. We'll place a bookplate on the inside cover of each item.

Gifts to our endowment help the library prepare for the future:
- Finance special library improvement projects;
- Donate a lasting gift of any size;

Volunteer @ Your Library
Advocate for your library. Write a letter to your elected officials.
Host a program on a topic of your choice.
Donate a Gift Card.
Gift cards are very useful and helpful. Often we don't know exactly what we'll need until we design a new program. They also helps us reduce items to storage.

- Giant Eagle.

Paper Retrieving - Recycling Program
Our bin is located by the Scott Township Maintenance Building. The Maintenance Building is located at Lindsay & Greentree Roads, below the Scott Park.
The Paper Retriever program is a great way to help the library and the environment!
1. It is a fundraiser for the library.
2. You can recycle your papers here.
Some rules:
If it tears, you can recycle it.
No phone books. The paper has been recycled too much.
No cardboard, including cereal boxes, corrugated, etc.
