Scott Township Public Library is located at the intersections of Green Tree Rd. & Lindsay Rd.
If you are familiar with Scott Township, we are in the Municipal Building with the Police. We are on the opposite side of Green Tree from the Scott Pool.
From Pittsburgh
- Coming from the city through the Ft. Pitt Tunnels on Parkway West (I-376) headed west towards the Airport.
- Take the FIRST exit: Banksville Road. Bear left under the overpass.
- At the 3rd LIGHT turn RIGHT onto Potomac Ave .
Hint: You will pass Eat 'n Park on you right, Staples on your left and the turn will have a hotel & a BP gas station on the corner. - Take Potomac Ave. all the way to the end (about .5 miles).
Hint: No stop signs along this part of Potomac. A church should be at the intersection. If come to a stop sign or no church at the end you are in Dormont - Wrong Way! - Turn LEFT onto Green Tree Rd.
- Stay on Green Tree Rd. down to Lindsay (about 4 miles & 7 traffic lights).
Hint: When Green Tree becomes a 5 lane road (at Arla Dr. & Carriage Park Apts.), get in the right hand lane. You will then go through 5 lights until you reach Lindsay Rd.
More Hints: You will see Sts Simon and Jude church on your left, Marshall's on your right, Rita's Frozen Ice, Green Tree Animal Clinic & Denny's on your right. Once you pass through the Denny's [Swallow Hill & Hope Hollow] intersection the next light is Lindsay Rd. - Turn RIGHT onto Lindsay Rd.
- We are in the municipal building on your right. We share the building with the Scott Township Police.

From the South or North (along I-79)
- Coming north or south along I-79, take EXIT 55: Heidelberg, Kirwan Heights (Bridgeville, Scott Township)
- At the intersection turn LEFT. This will be Route 50 / Washington Pike.
- Travel about a mile down Washington Pike. (Towards Carnegie)
Hint: On your left you will pass: The Woodville Plantation House, Collier Towne Center, electric station, Waltz-Wind Ford, McDonalds, Kings. The Chartiers Creek will be on you right after Woodville Plantation / Thoms Run Rd. - At the fourth (4th) LIGHT turn RIGHT onto Green Tree Rd.
Hint: An Exxon Gas Station & Walgreens will be at the intersection. - Once on Green Tree Rd. you will go over the creek, STRAIGHT through the (1) TRAFFIC LIGHT (Old Main Rd), over rail road tracks, through a small tunnel.
- Turn LEFT at the NEXT LIGHT onto LindsayRd.
- We are in the municipal building on your right. We share the building with the Scott Township Police.

From the Airport (Parkway West, I-376, Route 22/33/60)
- Follow the Parkway West (I-376, Route 22/30/60) EAST towards Pittsburgh.
- Exit the Parkway SOUTH on to I-79. Headed south to Washington, PA.
- Coming south along I-79, take EXIT 55: Heidelberg, Kirwan Heights (Bridgeville, Scott Township). This is the 2nd exit once you are on I-79. Carnegie will be the first.
- At the intersection turn LEFT. This will be Route 50 / Washington Pike.
- Travel about a mile down Washington Pike. (Towards Carnegie)

From the South Hills
- These directions begin from St. Clair Hospital at the intersections of Bower Hill Rd. & Seagar Rd. This is the ER end of the Hospital and across from the Cedarhurst subdivision in Mt. Lebanon.
- Turn on to SEGAR RD. Head down the hill.
- At the 4-way stop proceed straight ahead on Scrubgrass Rd. (Intersection of Scrubgrass /Swallow Hill and Raven Dr.)
- You will follow a tree lined winding road for about 1 mile.
- Turn RIGHT at the Stop sign onto Old Main St. (You have to turn left or right.)
- Go over the bridge. Through the Stop sign. Past Old St. Lukes Church on your left.
- At the light TURN RIGHT on to Green Tree Rd.
- Once on Green Tree Rd. you will go over rail road tracks and through a small tunnel.
- Turn LEFT at the NEXT LIGHT onto Lindsay Rd.
- We are in the municipal building on your right. We share the building with the Scott Township Police.

By Bus
Port Authority of Allegheny County bus routes.
Our Library is on the 38C "Raceway Plaza" bus route. There are three different routes this bus takes, but all three pass by the Lindsay & Green Tree Roads intersection - right where we are located! You can ask the driver to let you off at the closets stop to our library.
